This beautiful 18th century village house is located in the Lunigiana area in the fortified village of Lusuolo, overlooking the Magra valley.
The Via Francigena ancient pilgrimage route runs through the village and past the house.
The village is small with friendly neighbours, a church and a medieval castle.
There are opportunities to help with the grape harvest and regular festa take place. The house forms part of the former Palazzo Porrini built in the 1760’s.
The house has a pair of impressive chestnut wood entrance doors, high vaulted ceilings, original cotto tiles and large windows letting in light.
Renovated in 2003 with new bathrooms, electrics, plumbing, flooring and shutters, the house has 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, a large kitchen, study and 3 bathrooms.
There is also a large terrace with panoramic views of the Apennine mountains. In addition to a small vegetable garden or ‘orto’ below the terrace and a large cellar, the house is being sold with a 1,000m2 former olive grove.
The house has been a family home for the current owner for a number of years and would be an amazing permanent or holiday home or could be rented to the many tourists who visit the area.
